Dr. Ricker is one of the founding partners of the law firm WALLINGER RICKER SCHLOTTER TOSTMANN. He is part of the firm's intellectual property practice group in the area of chemistry/pharmaceuticals, which now consists of five partners. Prior to co-founding WALLINGER RICKER SCHLOTTER TOSTMANN, Dr. Ricker was a partner at Jones Day and served, inter alia, as European IP Coordinator. He holds a doctorate in chemistry and was admitted to practice as a German Patent Attorney in 1994 and as a European Patent Attorney in 1995. His legal practice has always covered the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. He is active in advising domestic German and foreign clients in all areas of patent law. In recent years, Dr. Ricker's practice has focused on representing clients in opposition and nullity proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the German Federal Patent Court, as well as in infringement proceedings - often together with the attorneys of WALLINGER RICKER SCHLOTTER TOSTMANN.
