Dr. Leonie Dißmann-Fuchs was admitted to the bar in 2015 and has been a certified specialist lawyer for intellectual property law since 2019. Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs joined VOSSIUS in mid-2018. Before that, she worked with a Düsseldorf boutique law firm specializing in intellectual property law.Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs represents and advises national and international clients in all areas of intellectual property law. Her focus is on patent law and unfair competition law. She represents clients in and out of court, in particular in infringement, injunction and inspection proceedings in various technical areas (e.g. in the fields of mobile communications, mechanical engineering, life science and chemicals).Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and at the University of Helsinki in Finland. During this time, she obtained an additional qualification in information, telecommunications and media law. After her first State examination, Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs worked as a research associate in the IP departments of two leading international law firms and obtained her doctor title. She completed her legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf with stations at the Regional Court of Düsseldorf, the German Embassy in New Zealand and in the IP department of another leading law firm. After her second State examination, Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs obtained the Master of Laws title in the Master's programme "Intellectual Property" from the Heinrich-Heine-University of Düsseldorf in 2016. Her main focus was on patent and competition law. She completed the Master's programme as the best student of her year.Dr. Dißmann-Fuchs speaks German and English. She is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR).
