John T. McManus is part of the firm’s Energy Team, where he has successfully represented clients in securing three reliability support services agreements (RSSA) for nuclear and coal-fired electric generating facilities with two upstate utilities. He also regularly represents a nationwide organization of more than 20 energy services companies (ESCOs), including individual ESCOs, on regulatory issues affecting the retail gas and electric markets at the PSC.
As part of the Environmental Law Practice Group, John T. McManus provides corporate and individual clients with comprehensive representation for a wide range of matters involving permitting, compliance, enforcement, and dispute resolution related to facilities in power generation, manufacturing, waste disposal, construction/deconstruction debris processing, wireless telecommunications, housing, and more.
His extensive experience extends beyond the PSC as he frequently appears before various federal, state, and municipal agencies involved with the permitting and licensing of facilities and projects. John T. McManus also handles matters involving the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and other state and federal environmental statutes and regulatory programs.
