He attended law school at the University of Calgary, graduating in 2019, during which time he honed his advocacy skills and developed a strong interest in learning about how the internet and its privacy issues affect families in conflict. During law school, Eric’s strong advocacy skills landed him a spot on a team of University of Calgary students who were selected to represent the University at the Laskin Moot, a national trial competition.Eric’s passion for the law and advocacy can be traced back well before his time as a professional. Whether it was standing up for someone who was misunderstood, boosting a brand during his time in sales (because they made good products but were not the most popular), or running an underdog’s political campaign because she was the right woman for the job but did not have the largest public presence, Eric has been on a legal path from the start. The reason? Simply put, he likes making sure that a person has someone in their corner.Outside of the office, Eric loves to get out wakesurfing in the summer and to the mountains snowboarding in the winter. He has also recently found a love for gourmet barbecuing, and is continually adding to his vinyl record collection.
