Gordon Sterchi, KC articled with Dunphy Best Blocksom LLP in 2001 and became a partner in 2010. He practices in the area of family law as both a litigator and a mediator, as well as counsel for landowners in surface rights matters in Alberta.Gord is currently a member of the Calgary Flames Ambassadors and serves on their Board of Directors. He is also on the executive of the Calgary Bar Association and serves as the Vice President. He previously served on the Board of Directors with The Distress Centre (formerly Distress Centre-Calgary).Gord volunteers with the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education Program (CPLED) as an Instructor and Evaluator for the Bar Admission Course. He has authored and presented at the Legal Education Society of Alberta’s Family Law Bootcamp in Calgary and Edmonton (2009). He was previously a coach/ facilitator in Law 411 at the University of Calgary Law School.An avid outdoorsman, Gord is a member of the Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights (CCFR). He enjoys hunting, shooting, archery, fishing, hiking, skiing, coaching and playing hockey.
