Ms. Amarily Maldonado, Esq. joined Casillas, Santiago & Torres, LLC in April 2018, where she serves as an Attorney in the Corporate and Tax Divisions. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Maldonado was a Senior Manager in the Tax Advisory Division of a major international accounting firm in Puerto Rico, where she tenured for six years.Ms. Maldonado commenced her career as an Associate in the Corporate Tax practice of one of the Big Four accounting firms and also served as a corporate and tax attorney in a boutique law firm in San Juan.During her years of experience, Ms. Maldonado has been responsible for providing tax planning and consulting services to high net worth individuals and business entities, negotiating and obtaining tax incentives and exemptions, due diligence procedures, and reorganizations. She has worked since 2012 with the relocation of individuals and businesses to Puerto Rico under Acts 20, 22, and 273. Her practice has focused on Puerto Rico and Federal income taxation and other local tax matters such as: estate, property, excise, municipal license, and sales and use tax.
