Scott Douglass & McConnico LLP is an advocacy firm. We practice civil litigation, appellate law, administrative proceedings, and energy-related matters. Our attorneys handle a wide range of business litigation—including contract disputes, business torts, class actions, oil and gas, and labor and employment matters—representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Each year, we try many bench and jury trials. We have represented clients in hundreds of arbitrations and mediations. Some of our attorneys also serve as mediators and arbitrators. We have one of the largest administrative law practices before the Texas Railroad Commission, the Texas Comptroller's Office, and the Texas General Land Office. We also practice before many other state and federal regulatory agencies. We pride ourselves in the speedy resolution of cases. Our philosophy is to be aggressive, yet cost-conscious. Our firm culture comes from our founding partners, Wally Scott and Frank Douglass. These two lawyers created the chemistry that keeps us unique. Wally brought his legendary wit, love of life, assertiveness, and "go for the jugular" approach to practicing law. Frank brought his energy, depth of analysis, attention to detail, and business acumen. Our lawyers aspire to these qualities, which define our firm and our practice.
