Stephen M. Mathias

Stephen M. Mathias is a partner in the Martinsburg office and leader of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. His primary practice areas include commercial law and real estate. Mr. Mathias served as assistant attorney general for the State of West Virginia from 1983 - 1985. He earned his bachelor of business administration degree in 1978 and his law degree in 1982 from West Virginia University. He was admitted to practice in West Virginia in 1982 and before the federal courts of both the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia. He was named Best Lawyers’ 2014 Litigation - Real Estate Lawyer of the Year in the northern West Virginia region. Mr. Mathias is a member of the American Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar, the West Virginia Bar Association, the Berkeley County Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
