Shannon L. Miller is a Shareholder in the Birmingham, Alabama office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ms. Miller is experienced in all aspects of employment litigation, including multi-plaintiff and class action claims. She also regularly provides counsel, planning and defense to clients on affirmative action compliance and audits. Following law school, Ms. Miller served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable James H. Hancock, United States District Judge, Northern District of Alabama. Ms. Miller is a regular speaker at employment law and human resources seminars. In 2010, Ms. Miller was recognized in Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40. She was also named an Alabama Rising Star in 2011 and 2012. Ms. Miller was recently named in the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Ms. Miller is admitted to practice law in Alabama and Florida. She is also admitted to practice before the 10th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court. Ms. Miller received her B.A., with honors, from the University of Florida, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Miller earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Alabama Law Review. Ms. Miller is currently a member of Birmingham Kiwanis Club.
