About Roland
Roland is a born-and-raised Londoner. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology and economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2011, he worked in talent acquisition within the manufacturing and construction sectors. He then shifted his focus to law and earned his Juris Doctor from Western Law in 2018. While at Western, Roland directed his studies toward a specialization in litigation, focusing on areas such as insurance law, evidence, and trial advocacy. He participated in several “moot court” competitions and represented Western in the Arnup Cup. In the course of his studies, Roland also volunteered with Community Legal Services, assisting marginalized members of the community with landlord-tenant and small claims disputes.Roland completed his articles with Beckett and was called to the Ontario bar in 2019. Since joining the firm, Roland’s practice has focused exclusively on plaintiff personal injury, representing injured clients on matters related to motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, product liability, and medical malpractice. As an avid cyclist, Roland has a particular interest in advocating for safe streets and in representing vulnerable road users who have been injured by negligent drivers.Roland also assists clients with disputes over statutory accident benefits, long-term disability, and CPP disability benefits. He and his team are committed to taking the time required to make clients feel heard and to ensuring the dignity of all injured people they come into contact with.Roland has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the License Appeal Tribunal, and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario,, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. In the community, Roland volunteers on the board of directors for Literacy Link South Central and Dad Club London.Outside of work, Roland spends most of his free time chasing around his toddler and his dog.
