Robert A. Buccola: Dedicated Personal Injury Legal Counsel in Sacramento
Robert A. Buccola is a managing and founding partner of Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood Campora, LLP, and a lifelong resident of Sacramento, California. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he developed a deep commitment to advocating for the rights of injured individuals and their families. Mr. Buccola’s career is defined by a relentless pursuit of justice and a proven track record of securing substantial compensation for his clients. Recognized as a Super Lawyer for Northern California and a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), Robert brings unparalleled expertise and dedication to every case.
For over 30 years, Robert has exclusively represented injured clients and their family heirs, navigating the complexities of personal injury litigation from initial consultation through trial and settlement. He approaches each case with a profound understanding of the physical and emotional toll that serious injuries can take, and he’s driven by a deeply ingrained sense of compassion and a competitive spirit. 'My parents taught me the virtues of hard work and compassion at an extremely young age,' Mr. Buccola explains. ‘By nature, I’m competitive and I thrive on challenge. My clients’ causes become my own.’
Robert’s commitment to legal excellence extends beyond his courtroom experience. He’s a highly sought-after authority in the field of tort law, having authored and lectured extensively for Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) since 1989 – a time when he was the youngest CEB author/lecturer in the state. His expertise has earned him numerous accolades, including recognition from Consumer Attorneys of California, the National Business Institute, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Robert’s dedication to fostering legal knowledge is further evidenced by his membership as an Emeritus member and “Master of the Bar” in the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court, and his past presidency of the ABOTA Sacramento Chapter – a distinction achieved by less than 1% of all practicing lawyers nationwide.
Throughout his distinguished career, Robert has attained record verdicts and settlements exceeding $250 million for his deserving clients. His accomplishments include the current largest personal injury gross verdict and the largest pain and suffering verdict in Sacramento County – a record that has endured for nearly ten years and has been upheld on appeal. Specifically, he secured a landmark victory for a 19-year-old client, resulting in a significant award that recognized the profound impact of the injury. Furthermore, in 2001, he obtained the largest verdict ever in Marin County on behalf of a pedestrian injury victim, and in 2005, he secured the largest personal injury verdict in Tehama County for a local man. These successes demonstrate Robert’s strategic thinking, aggressive advocacy, and unwavering dedication to achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.
Robert’s legal practice focuses on a wide range of personal injury litigation, including but not limited to: motor vehicle accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and fall accidents, premises liability cases, and wrongful death claims. He leverages his extensive experience, legal knowledge, and courtroom skills to build strong cases and aggressively pursue compensation for his clients’ injuries, medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. He provides comprehensive legal counsel and representation to individuals and their families who have been injured due to the negligence of others.
