Richard B. Mackie was born in Ventura, California but spent much of his formative years growing up both in California and various areas of New York. He began his legal career as an undergraduate at the State University of New York (SUNY) Buffalo, where he worked with Steve Barnes at the law offices of Cellino & Barnes in Buffalo, New York.
This formative experience with Steve Barnes solidified Mr. Mackie’s passion for helping those who have suffered injuries and their families during their most vulnerable times. As a result, The Barnes Firm became his chosen place to practice his beloved passion. After graduating from SUNY Buffalo, Mr. Mackie moved back to California to pursue his legal education at the prestigious California Western School of Law in San Diego.
