Puya is a member of TGF’s Restructuring and Insolvency practice group. He acts for debtors, lenders and court officers as a member of the team in a variety of domestic and cross-border restructurings and insolvencies.Puya draws on his prior business experience as an analyst for Fortune 100 companies in bringing unique skills to assist clients navigating financial distress and their various stakeholders. Puya is often noted for his calm, humble nature and his thorough approach to legal service. He is a creative advocate, working collaboratively with team members to implement inventive solutions to complex problems.Puya is passionate about the law, and serves in leadership roles in several industry organizations, including as a past executive member with both the Ontario Bar Association Insolvency Section and The Advocates’ Society Insolvency Litigation Practice Group. Puya continues to write and speak on panels for a variety of topics regarding restructuring and insolvency law. He is also an active member of TGF’s student recruitment process, and mentors students and junior lawyers within the firm.
