Nigel McKechnie is a fully bilingual labour and employment lawyer practising out of Hicks Morley’s Ottawa office. He has appeared as lead counsel before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canadian Industrial Relations Board, the Federal Court, the Ontario Superior Court and, most recently, the Court of Appeal for Ontario.Nigel attempts to settle disputes whenever possible but prides himself on being ready to go to court or arbitration when the situation warrants. As lead lawyer and co-counsel on a variety of complex civil matters, Nigel conducts examinations for discovery, cross-examinations, contested motions, mediations, and pre-trials.
