Nick’s legal practice combines extensive experience in strategic intellectual property (“IP”) portfolio development and IP litigation.Nick regularly advises early stage and established businesses in building their IP portfolios and monetizing these assets, with an expertise in business development (drug development, product acquisition and life-cycle management) and negotiating commercial contracts (licensing, manufacturing, development, supply, distribution and marketing agreements) for clients in the healthcare industry. He has been engaged by domestic and international clients in many sectors including pharmaceutical, chemical, biotech, medical devices, natural health products, and several others.Prior to his legal career, Nick conducted research in cancer treatments and worked within the regulatory and quality control areas of the pharmaceutical industry. Nick has also served as Director and Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Professional Regulatory Affairs. Based on this experience, Nick also advises clients in drug regulation and data protection matters in Canada.
