Mike represents a variety of clients in commercial, insurance coverage, tort, environmental, and Qui Tam/False Claims Act matters at the state and federal levels. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and represented clients in venues across Texas and throughout the United States. Mike’s accomplishments as a trial lawyer have been recognized by his peers, who elected him as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”). ABOTA is comprised of trial lawyers representing both sides of the bar and membership is by invitation only.Originally from Port Arthur, Mike left Texas to attend Notre Dame and then served his country as an officer in the Navy. Following his discharge, he returned to Texas to attend law school and began practicing with the Houston firm Weitinger, Steelhammer and Tucker after graduation. Mr. Hendryx eventually became managing partner and the named changed to Tucker Hendryx. Mike was also a partner with Strong Pipkin Bissell & Ledyard, LLP for over 21 years.Mike’s litigation and trial experience is significant. He has represented clients in litigation involving catastrophic personal injuries, death, and commercial disputes pertaining to pipeline and plant fires and explosions, chemical exposures, environmental contamination and degradation, insurance recovery, workplace accidents, and others. Recently, Mike worked closely with co-counsel to successfully conclude a substantial Qui Tam/False Claims Act case involving fraud during the war in Afghanistan.When not at the office, Mike can be found sailing in Galveston Bay or serving on the Boards of the Houston Area Parkinson Society and the Bayou Preservation Association. He also cherishes spending time with his wife, Gail, and children.
