Lesley Kim practices in the areas of domestic and international tax law and has particular experience with outbound cross-border transactions involving foreign affiliates and non-resident trusts. She works extensively with public and private corporations and private equity groups undertaking mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, plan of arrangements, financings, including flow-through share offerings and IPOs, and other corporate reorganizations, including for estate planning purposes.Lesley has worked in a variety of sectors including racing and gaming, farming, professional, media, retail, investment management, electronic commerce, financial services, universities, and transportation.Prior to focusing exclusively on her tax practice, Lesley was a corporate and securities associate with another national law firm and completed a secondment with the Alberta Securities Commission. Her past experience informs and complements her tax practice and she has a strong understanding of the intricacies involved in various corporate and securities transactions, including mergers, corporate reorganizations and financings.
