Laurie M. Turner

Laurie Turner is Co-Leader of the firm’s Health Law Group. Laurie has an active corporate/commercial practice and advises clients in the for-profit and not-for profit (specifically hospital sector) on a diverse range of matters including corporate restructurings, (e.g. mergers and amalgamations) corporate governance, procurement and privacy, with a particular focus on the health sector.Laurie is a graduate of Queen’s University, Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, Laurie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto (Distinction) and was an Executive Research Assistant to the Canadian Research Chair in Breast Cancer at Sunnybrook & Women’s College Health Sciences Centre. Laurie also worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Jurgen Rehm at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Laurie has gained valuable experience through recent secondments at two large teaching hospitals in Toronto and a shared service organization where she advised on a wide range of matters.
