About Lauren
Lauren is an associate lawyer in the Pension & Benefits group.Lauren first joined Koskie Minsky as a summer student in 2015, and returned to complete her articles in the Labour and Pensions Departments.Lauren is dedicated to providing advice and representation to employees, trade unions, plan administrators, trustees and their advisors and consultants on a range of pension, benefits, privacy and employment issues.Lauren has experience representing trade unions in a broad range of matters including matters before the Ontario Superior Court and various administrative tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Lauren has on the ground experience acting as privacy head of a government organization, and advising on governance issues.Lauren is originally from Northern Ontario, and a proud graduate of the inaugural class of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University. While in law school, Lauren was a caseworker at Lakehead University Community Legal Services, and acted as a research assistant to the Dean and other professors. Lauren won several awards for academic achievement and represented the school at the Wilson Equality Law Moot.
