Juan Carlos Villar focuses on commercial litigation, mediation, arbitration, private and public construction disputes, corporate disputes, international contract negotiation. He is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Institute of World Business Law, the International Bar Association (IBA), and the Young ITA (Institute for Transnational Arbitration at the Center for American and International Law). He served as Coordinator of the Young Arbitrators Committee, Bajío Chapter, of the ICC Mexico for the period April 2020 - April 2022 and, by publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation dated January 10, 2023, he was authorized to act as arbitrator in the arbitration proceedings regulated by the Federal Copyright Law. He obtained his law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro through graduation by average. He also completed a Specialization in Constitutional Law and Amparo, a Specialization in Notarial Law and a Master's Degree in State and Municipal Public Administration at the same University.He has completed different courses, seminars and diplomas, including the Diplomas in International Commercial Arbitration given by the International Chamber of Commerce and the Universidad Anáhuac, as well as the Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation Center (CEMAC - MASC). Mr. Villar's legal services have been recognized by different international publications and the most important guides for the legal industry. In the most recent Global 2025 publication, as well as for Latin America 2025 by Chambers and Partners, -the most respected British firm in the classification and research industry, based in the city of London-, it states that “Juan Carlos Villar Flores is highly commercially aware, as he is always focused on the best interests of our company”. He also provides legal advice to international companies in connection with their investments in Mexico. Currently, he is a legal representative and consultant in Mexico for several companies belonging to the Samsung Group and the Mitsubishi Group, among others.
