After law school, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John B. Lewis Jr. of the North Carolina Court of Appeals before joining Robinson & Lawing in 1994. He is certified as a Superior Court Mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.Recognized for his professional excellence, Brent has been selected to the Best Lawyers in America Personal Injury - Defense Litigation Section since 2013, and the Litigation - Insurance Section since 2021, where he was named Lawyer of the Year for the Triad Metropolitan Area in 2026.
