Georgialee Lang has practiced family law in Vancouver for 37 years beginning as an associate at Ladner Downs, now Borden Ladner Gervais. She inititated the firm's family law practice in 1989 and in 1994 started her boutique practice, Georgialee Lang & Associates, where she practiced with four associate lawyers and six legal staff. She is an invited Fellow of the International Academy of Family Law Lawyers, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators United Kingdom, and an invited member of Leading Women for Shared Parenting, a prestigious group of professionals, including lawyers, politicians, academics, psychologists, scientists, journalists, and others.She is a prolific writer and regular media commentor. Bedford Supreme Court of Canada (Prostitution case) in June 2013 and appeared as counsel for 8 fathers seeking access to their children from Bountiful BC’s polygamous community. She was also counsel in four leading Supreme Court of Canada decisions in 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2021.Her most recent book, “Faith, Life, & Leadership: 8 Canadian Women Tell Their Stories” was released by publisher, Castle Quay Books, of Ontario in 2017.She currently focuses her practice in appellate litigation, arbitration, mediation and litigation strategy.
