A tenacious advocate, Emily has successfully represented clients at the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the specialized Estates List.In addition to her private practice, Emily is a frequent speaker at legal conferences across Ontario and has been invited numerous times by the Ontario Bar Association as both a chair and speaker. Emily sits on the executive committee for the Ontario Bar Association’s Family Law Section and the Young Lawyer’s Division, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Advocates Society, and Young Women in Law.A firm believer in the importance of pro bono work, Emily volunteers as legal counsel for Luke’s Place, wherein she provides legal information to women experiencing intimate partner violence and has tailored her Legal Aid work to representing incarcerated parents in federal and provincial institutions seeking parenting time with their children.In her free time, Emily likes to read, support the arts through her involvement as a patron as the National Ballet of Canada, and spend time with her family and friends.
