Lynne Watt is a partner practising in the Ottawa office of Gowling WLG. Her areas of expertise are commercial litigation, copyright (in particular, the certification of tariffs under the Copyright Act and copyright infringement claims) and appellate advocacy. She is the leader of Gowling WLG's Supreme Court of Canada Services Group.Lynne has appeared before a variety of tribunals and in all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. As a member of the firm's Supreme Court of Canada Services Group, she prepares applications for leave to appeal, represents clients on appeals and motions in the Supreme Court and advises clients on all aspects of Supreme Court practice and procedure.
