Christopher Edwards is a senior partner in our Employment, Labour & Public Law, Commercial Litigation, Insurance and Workplace Investigations Groups. A seasoned litigator, he has over 20 years of experience conducting trials and hearings before administrative tribunals and arbitrators. Christopher has appeared at all levels of Courts in Ontario including the Ontario Court of Appeal and federally at the Federal Court of Appeal. Christopher is currently one of three partners on the Management Committee for the firm.Christopher has extensive experience providing strategic advice and representation to employers in all areas of labour relations, employment law and human rights, executive employment arrangements, union organizing campaigns and applications for certification. He represents employers in collective bargaining negotiations and is regularly retained by employers to act as the Chair of bargaining teams. He also acts for senior employees in employment and professional disciplinary matters. In his litigation practice he is regularly retained by insurance companies in complex matters, including environmental contamination claims and acts for companies in commercial litigation matters and has considerable experience in defamation claims.Read More...
