Cheryl Dunn Soto is a seasoned attorney whose practice focuses on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation on behalf of commercial policyholders. Her clients have included contractors, developers, real estate professionals, medical groups, broker-dealers, accountants, law firms, HOAs, distributors and manufacturers, and other companies throughout California.Cheryl handles a wide variety of coverage matters and has significant experience with liability policies, including directors and officers (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O), commercial general liability (CGL), employment practices liability (EPL), and excess/umbrella policies. In addition to litigating coverage disputes, Cheryl frequently assists in analyzing and resolving insurance coverage issues pre-suit and provides advice on highly complex, multi-layered coverage matters. Cheryl thoroughly enjoys analyzing and solving insurance coverage issues for her clients and, in the process, vindicating their rights.After graduating from law school summa cum laude, Cheryl worked for four federal district court judges and a Ninth Circuit judge. During this time, she acquired invaluable knowledge and insight regarding judicial practice and procedure, allowing her to more effectively represent her clients. Prior to forming what is now Franklin Soto Leeds LLP, Cheryl practiced with a premier insurance recovery firm and was the sole shareholder of a firm that exclusively represented policyholders in coverage disputes.
