Caitlin Ohama-Darcus

Caitlin is a general civil and commercial litigator in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell. She handles complex civil and commercial disputes, public and Indigenous law matters, class actions, and appeals.Caitlin has extensive experience managing a wide range of litigation, from Aboriginal title disputes and corporate commercial cases, to sensitive claims involving sexual misconduct and abuse. Her approach to the practice of law combines intellectual rigor, compelling advocacy, and a sincere commitment to understanding and representing her clients' interests.Caitlin has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in British Columbia, the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. After law school, Caitlin served as a judicial law clerk for two justices of the Court of Appeal for British Columbia.Caitlin has been recognized as a Rising Star in British Columbia Dispute Resolution by Legal 500 (2022, 2023), and as part of the Excellence Award-winning Commercial Litigation Team of the Year at the Canadian Law Awards in 2020. In 2024, Caitlin was awarded an Outstanding Young Alum Award from the Peter A. Caitlin is also a founder of the Japanese Canadian Lawyers Association (JCLA), and an enthusiastic champion and mentor for law students and new lawyers in the profession.
