Betty Shumener is one of the three founding partners of Shumener, Odson & Oh LLP. Ms. Shumener represents some of the nation’s elite private equity firms, opportunity funds and financial institutions. As a commercial litigator, Ms. Shumener has protected billion of dollars of real estate and corporate assets for equity and debt investors dating back to the Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980’s and evolving into the opportunity funds and investment banking firms. Ms. Shumener represents a number of funds sponsored by major New York investment banking firms, opportunity funds headquartered on the East Coast and West Coast and the more traditional financial institutions in the United States and abroad. She has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer as the result of research projects conducted jointly by Law & Politics and has been named in Best Lawyers since 2009. In 2013 she was named Best Lawyer's Lawyer of the Year in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area in real estate litigation.
