Over the course of his career, Robin has handled a variety of complex matters, professional liability, insurance coverage, construction, personal injury and class action matters at all levels of court in Ontario.Known for his calm demeanor and strategic approach to litigation, Robin is recognized as a leader in the area of professional liability, and is frequently retained to represent other lawyers. This has earned him the nickname “the fixer”. Robin takes great satisfaction in helping fellow lawyers and offering practice management advice so they don’t have to see him again.Robin is frequently named as a Best Lawyer in Canada. In 2019, Robin was awarded the Joel Kuchar award by the Ontario Bar Association. He holds a B.A and M.A. from the University of Western Ontario, and an LLB from the University of Windsor. Robin is also a trained mediator, completing his training through the Harvard Negotiation Program.Robin grew up on Manitoulin Island, later moving to Sault Ste. Marie, where he still maintains a connection. Robin is an exceptional cook and a prolific reader.
