About Andrew
Andrew Firkins is an associate with Spicer Rudstrom PLLC. Born in New York City, and growing up in the suburbs of New Jersey, he went on to attend Manhattan College where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history. After graduating he began working at a law firm in Hackensack, New Jersey where he managed the office filing system and provided paralegal support. Having gained invaluable experience in the legal field, and wanting to put his passion for writing to good use, he decided to go back to school. In the Summer of 2008 he began attending Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York, graduating in the Spring of 2011. During law school Andrew continued to work with the Hackensack firm as a law clerk. Upon graduating Andrew stayed on as a law clerk, ultimately becoming an associate in the firm’s insurance coverage and defense practice group. In late 2014, Andrew and his family relocated to Knoxville. Andrew began working for a mortgage company before gaining employment as an associate with a private insurance defense firm.Andrew focuses his practice at Spicer Rudstrom on a variety of civil matters including, civil rights litigation, construction law, insurance defense litigation, premises liability, products liability, and transportation law. Andrew is admitted to practice in Tennessee, The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and New Jersey. He is a member of both the Knoxville Bar Association and Tennessee Bar Association.
