About Amelye
Amélye Paquette is a bilingual litigator with a wide-ranging dispute resolution, investigations, and regulatory practice. In her litigation practice, Amélye acts for businesses and institutions in a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial disputes, insurance matters and professional liability claims. Her investigations practice includes conducting internal investigations, performing due diligence on transactions and counterparties, and providing training and advice on compliance with the Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act, the Criminal Code, and similar anti-corruption legislation. Amélye also has experience assisting with complex multi-jurisdictional white-collar criminal defence matters. Amélye also regularly advises clients on economic sanctions and trade issues, and regulatory issues, and assists clients with obtaining necessary approvals from applicable regulatory authorities and organizations. Amélye is proud to represent clients in both of Canada’s official languages and has done so before various levels of courts, including the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Small Claims Court.
