Mr. Pothitakis was recently selected to be a member of the The College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers. Mr. Pothitakis was recently appointed to the Judicial nominating commission for the selection of Judges in the 8B district in Iowa. He has served on the Grievance Commission for the state of Iowa. This group oversees the processing of complaints against lawyers. He recently was appointed by the Iowa Supreme Court to the Iowa Attorney Disciplinary Board for a 3 year term ending in 2023. The Board reviews all disciplinary complaints submitted to the Supreme Court and sets forth a recommendation on the outcome of the complaint. Mr. Pothitakis handles dozens of cases a year on a pro bono basis in the area of Iowa Workers' Compensation and encourages his staff to provide assistance and advice without fees as well.
