About McMath Woods PA
McMath Woods evolved from a firm founded by Sidney S. McMath, Leland F. Leatherman and Henry Woods in 1953. After serving in the Marine Corps during World War II and as Prosecuting Attorney for Garland County, McMath was twice elected Governor of Arkansas where he, Leatherman and Woods (who served in his administration) pursued a reform agenda. After leaving the Governor's office, the three established their law firm representing workers, victims of personal injury and consumers. They developed a national reputation in these areas. McMath Woods P.A. reflects the values that guided the original firm, operating on the belief that the civil justice system, while a means for securing individual justice, is also an essential tool for regulating private behavior for the benefit of society at large. We believe every true plaintiff's lawyer is a public interest lawyer committed to the pursuit of justice, both inside and outside the courtroom. McMath Woods is committed to providing aggressive, creative and ethical representation in an ever broadening scope of practice where substantial interests of the individual are at stake.
