Burnett & Williams was founded in 1988, a time of great change in personal injury and insurance law. Legal and social trends made it increasingly difficult for victims of negligence to get fair compensation for their injuries. Peter Burnett had a successful general law practice, which included notable successes in personal injury cases, but he decided that he could do a better job for his injured clients by focusing all of his effort on becoming a personal injury and insurance law expert.
