Yelena (“Lena") Chan represents owners, developers, and investors in a variety of commercial real estate transactions, with an emphasis on the purchase and sale of both improved and unimproved property, financing, development, and leasing matters. She also assists clients with workouts of distressed properties. Lena has represented clients in the development of hotels, industrial properties, multi-family and mixed-use projects and has negotiated leases with prospective tenants of industrial, office and retail projects.Lena also has experience representing banks and other lenders in connection with originating, negotiating and documenting various types of financing transactions, including bridge, construction, permanent and mezzanine loans for multifamily, hotel, health care, office and retail projects.Additionally, Lena is part-time faculty at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, where she teaches an undergraduate business law class, the Legal and Ethical Analysis of Business Environments.
