In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Scherer has served as counsel to various government entities. From 1988 to 2005, he held the position of General Counsel for the North Broward Hospital District (NBHD), one of the largest public health care providers in the nation with four hospitals and nine specialized treatment centers.
The NBHD, under Mr. Scherer's leadership as General Counsel, saw him oversee teams of legal experts in healthcare and malpractice law, responsible for all trials and legal actions taken by or against the Hospital District. This experience provided Mr. Scherer with a comprehensive understanding of both complex litigation and government regulatory matters.
