She understands the emotional toll and strives to guide individuals through this transition, helping them plan for a happy and fulfilling future after divorce. Veronica possesses a particular passion for complex custody matters, meticulously assisting clients in navigating the often-confusing legal system to ensure the best possible outcomes for their children.

Throughout her academic career and subsequent internships, she has cultivated a broad range of legal skills and knowledge. She’s served as a Judicial Intern at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, gaining invaluable insight into the judicial process. Furthermore, she has acted as a Law Clerk at a small general litigation firm in Washington, D.C., contributing to diverse legal cases, and a Legal Intern for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, bolstering her understanding of civil rights law and advocacy. These experiences have solidified her commitment to providing strategic legal counsel and achieving favorable results for her clients.

These include the Fairfax Bar Association, The Trial Lawyers Association of Washington, D.C., Virginia Trial Lawyers, Northern Virginia Black Attorney’s Association, and The Greater Washington Area Chapter, Women Lawyers Division of the National Bar Association (GWAC). Her active membership in these organizations underscores her commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal practice and contributing to the legal community.

She is currently a volunteer with the Christian Legal Aid of the District of Columbia and consistently supports various organizations. She also enthusiastically supports the Legal Services of Northern Virginia Attorney of the Day Program and regularly participates in Fairfax Law Foundation events, showcasing her dedication to pro bono services and community engagement. In 2024, Veronica presented a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session for the Fairfax Bar Association Annual Convention, focusing on critical topics such as “What is DEI?”, the benefits of DEI policies, the changing demographics in the legal field both nationally and locally, and how to implement DEI policies in local firms and organizations – demonstrating her forward-thinking approach and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Outside of her legal career, Veronica has a passion for travel, enriching literature, and experiencing live performances, particularly musicals.
