About Thierry
Thierry joined Martel Cantin's team in the summer of 2004 and began his articling at the Bar. He interrupted this internship to obtain a Master's degree in taxation from the University of Sherbrooke in 2006. He was sworn in in 2007 and has been working at Martel Cantin since then.Mr. Thierry is a recognized expert in Canadian taxation and corporate law. His expertise is focused on serving small and medium-sized businesses in Québec and their managers with the objective of optimizing their tax situation, negotiating, structuring and carrying out the purchase or sale of a business, setting up shareholder agreements adapted to their needs or protecting their assets. Furthermore, Thierry has acquired extensive experience in business start-ups and intergenerational business transfers. Last but not least, his expertise has led him to draft trust deeds, complex wills and mandates in case of incapacity of business owners.Thierry teaches business law at the École du Barreau du Québec à Montréal's professional training program and the Estate Planning course at the Université de Sherbrooke's Master of Taxation program.
