About Taylor
Taylor L. Hanenkrath is part of our Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Practice Group. She has experience with a wide variety of matters, including drafting legal documents to establish or amend a client’s estate plan, as well as addressing tax issues associated with planning strategies. She has assisted with many client matters involving a wide range of issues; from those with high net worth, where planning can achieve wealth preservation, to young families, where planning can ensure family security.During law school, Ms. Hanenkrath was an advocate for her clients in the Toledo Tax Controversy Clinic, where she was the highest ranking student due to such determined advocacy. (The Clinic’s purpose is to assist low-income taxpayers with IRS disputes while providing law students with practical experience.) She also was chosen as the highest ranking student in her Federal Income Tax course and Accounting and Financial Statements course at the University of Toledo College of Law. Participation in the tax clinic, alongside her involvement in estate planning and tax courses, allowed her to better understand how tax correlates with various estate planning considerations. These experiences, coupled with her significant legal research and writing background, make her a passionate attorney for clients she represents. Ms. Hanenkrath worked at Eastman & Smith throughout her law school career which allowed her to develop relationships with clients of the Firm.A native of Northwest Ohio, Taylor enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, especially her niece and nephew. She and her husband Ryan reside in Toledo.
