Steve Botzau is the managing attorney in the firm’s Racine and Kenosha offices. He was certified as a civil trial specialist in 1997 by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and was recently selected for exclusive membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates. Steve has completed over 100 civil jury trials.Steve has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2005. He has been among the top 50 attorneys in the State of Wisconsin since 2011, and has been among the top 25 attorneys in the Milwaukee area in 2011 and from 2013-2019. Steve was named a 2014 Leader in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal. Steve has also been recognized for his work in personal injury litigation by Best Lawyers in America, including its most recent edition for 2020.Steve is a member of several professional organizations including the Racine and Kenosha Bar Associations. He served on the Board of Directors and as President of the Racine County Bar Association in 2003-2004.Steve was born and raised in Racine and currently lives in Racine with his wife and children. He is a former teacher and 1979 graduate of William Horlick High School. In 2009, Mr. Botzau was selected as a Horlick High “Graduate of Distinction.” Steve remains active in the Racine community and serves on the Board of Directors of Racine Youth Sports and the Volunteer Center of Racine County.
