Stephanie M. Sauer is an award-winning attorney, a GLG Partner, and Chair of the firm’s Divorce, Family Law, and Adoption Group. She also formerly served as the firm’s Pro Bono Chair. For over a decade, Stephanie has worked exclusively in the area of family law, handling all matters in divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, and adoption matters. Stephanie excels in highly contested custody and divorce matters. As of October 2021, Stephanie has been trained and certified in collaborative law. Stephanie is excited to incorporate this new dispute resolution technique to assist clients through the divorce and custody process.Prior to joining The Geller Law Group, Stephanie worked in family and adoption law in Fairfax County and has assisted clients with matters in Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg City, Stafford County, King George County, Orange County, Prince William County, Loudoun County, Fairfax County, Arlington County, Alexandria City, and Falls Church City.Prior to working in Northern Virginia, Stephanie began her legal career in Hampton Roads, where she grew up as a military child. Through her work in Hampton Roads, she assisted numerous military families through their divorce matters. Through past experiences, she has gained a wealth of knowledge and is a skilled litigator. She is determined to find the best possible solution for her clients, no matter the scenario. She previously served on the Fairfax Bar Circuit Court Judicial Screening Committee, where she evaluated candidates seeking appointment to the Fairfax Circuit, General District, and Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Courts.
