Stephanie practices exclusively in the area of divorce and family law. She is a Parenting Coordinator, Arbitrator, Family Law Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer. Stephanie is committed to helping her clients transition through divorce in an amicable and non-adversarial way. Stephanie has extensive experience with complicated property and spousal and child support issues, as well as drafting complex marriage and cohabitation agreements. Her approach is child centered and facilitates the wellbeing of the entire family.Through active engagement in leadership positions, Stephanie has worked to establish and enlarge the scope of non-adversarial approaches to family law dispute resolution. Stephanie co-chaired the committee that drafted the standardized Collaborative Parenting Plan that is available to the public through the BC Collaborative Roster Society. In 2023, Stephanie was a member of the AFCC Parenting Plan Task Force that assisted in the drafting of the AFCC-BC Parenting Plan Guide that is a free resource available to the public.Stephanie is the current President of the BC Collaborative Roster Society and is the Chair of the Steering Committee for the Family Law Organizer. Stephanie has been actively involved in the development of the parenting coordination process in BC and she sat on the board of the BC Parenting Coordinator Roster Society for over ten years.Stephanie graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts and received her LL.B from Dalhousie Law School. In 1999, Stephanie was called to the Bar in both British Columbia and Nova Scotia. After articling at a mid-size law firm in British Columbia, Stephanie moved to Cape Breton Island where she practiced family law in a small community. In 2000, she returned to Vancouver, British Columbia where she has practiced exclusively in the area of family law. In December 2008, Stephanie cofounded Hamilton Fabbro.Stephanie was appointed King's Counsel in May 2025.
