She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Oklahoma City University School of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section; Dallas Bar Association Family Law Section and Collaborative Section; Collin County Bar Association Family Law Section; Collaborative Divorce Texas, and Plano Bar Association.
