Robert E. "Bob" Wood

Bob Wood has been with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP since 1983. He is a former member of the firm's Board and has served as the firm's Managing Director, and he has also served as the Managing Partner of the Nashville Office. Bob is a member of the Firm's Diversity Committee.Bob is primarily involved in commercial real estate and commercial lending transactions, including workouts, turn-arounds and the acquisition, development and disposition of distressed real estate assets and loans. Bob also represents residential developers in connection with acquisition and entitlement of projects. In addition, he is involved in the representation of corporate and commercial clients, including clients involved in the manufacturing, communications, entertainment and construction industries, particularly in connection with their real estate investments.Bob's real estate practice involves the representation of institutional lenders, real estate developers and investors in real estate finance, acquisition and development transactions. Bob also represents a number of title insurance companies and is involved in commercial lease negotiations, representing both landlords and tenants. He is an Associate member of the American Land Title Association, and a member of the Tennessee Land Title Association.He is an active member of the community, serving in a variety of organizations. Bob is a member of the Lipscomb University Board of Trustees, and currently serves as the Chair of the Board’s standing committee for Lipscomb Academy. He serves on the Board of Directors for Rocketown, Inc., a nonprofit organization. Bob has previously served as general counsel and member of the Board of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. His current involvement with the Chamber includes appointments with the “Nashville Redevelopment Task Force” and the “2014 Prosperity Leaders.” Bob co-chaired the 2012 Arts and Business Council’s Corporate Band Challenge along with Ron Samuels of Avenue Bank.
