About Reid
Reid Hazelton is a member of the Business Practice Group in von Briesen’s Milwaukee office. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, as well as business and corporate issues, and Corporate Transparency Act compliance. Prior to law school, Reid worked in the automotive industry focusing on Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. He also served as a program manager for a start-up aerospace company, and later co-founded a branded luxury goods manufacturing company in Denver, which has been operating for over a decade. This mix gives him a first-hand understanding of many matters, legal and non-legal alike, from the client’s perspective.In law school, he helped Afghan asylee applicants resettle in the U.S. through Operation Allies Welcome, an on-site operation at Fort McCoy. He was also inducted into Marquette’s Pro Bono Society. He interned with the Wisconsin Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel and clerked with the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals’ Chief Judge Diane Sykes, while graduating in the top 5% of his class.Reid has an active pro bono practice and volunteers with Legal Action of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Justice Center, Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic, and Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee.
