Pierre-Jacques Castanet is the managing partner of In Extenso Avocats Ile de France, a firm that provides advice in the fields of labor and employment and tax law.He runs the firm’s labor and employment law department with his partner, Stanislas Dublineau. Before joining In Extenso Avocats, Pierre-Jacques was a partner at IDAvocats and Idrac & Associés.With more than 30 years’ experience at the Paris Bar, Pierre-Jacques has provided support to and advised companies, employer organizations and senior executives on all areas of labor and employment and social security law.During his career, he has been actively involved in the lawyers profession and has been Chairman of the CNBF (lawyers’ pension fund), where he led the reform of the supplementary retirement plan for lawyers. He has also been Chairman of LPA (lawyers’ personal protection scheme), a Member of the Conseil National des Barreaux (national bar council), a Member of the Paris Bar Council and a Member of the employer organization for the industry sector-wide collective bargaining agreement for law firm employees.This experience gained serving the profession has also allowed him to raise awareness of the needs of businesses. As a member of these industry groups, he has been able to compare his point of view and experiences with those of his colleagues and with those of businesses and politicians. He was also a judge at the Labour Court (vice-president, management section).In January 2021, he was appointed national Chairman of In Extenso Avocats.
