He was also recognized with the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts, acknowledging his exceptional performance in this critical area of legal study. Prior to law school, Mr. Adams pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the University of Nevada-Reno, a foundation that continues to inform his analytical and problem-solving skills.
Before joining Marquis Aurbach, Mr. Adams served as the law clerk to the Honorable Justice Douglas Herndon of the Nevada Supreme Court. This exceptional opportunity allowed him to directly observe Nevada’s appellate system, gaining unique insight into the critical processes that shape judicial decision-making. He meticulously studied the arguments presented, the legal reasoning employed, and the ultimate rulings rendered, building a foundational understanding of how legal disputes are ultimately resolved. Thereafter, he served as the law clerk to the Honorable Judge Adriana Escobar of the Eighth Judicial District Court, where he oversaw a docket exclusively focused on civil matters, providing him with extensive experience in a broad range of civil litigation issues. During these clerkships, Mr. Adams immersed himself in all stages of the litigation process – from the initial filing of the Complaint and the strategic development of a case through to active participation in bench or jury trials and the meticulous process of appeal. This hands-on exposure has afforded him a comprehensive grasp of courtroom procedures and effective legal strategy.
