His practice focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate commercial matters, with a particular emphasis on the technology and innovation sector. He advises private companies, founders, investors, and organizations on a range of transactions, governance, and strategic business matters.Michael has extensive experience working with high-growth companies, venture capital funds, and entrepreneurs. His transactional practice is focused on private equity and venture capital financings, private placements of shares and convertible instruments, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations. Michael also regularly advised on securities compliance, corporate governance, shareholder agreements and disputes, and corporate structuring and strategic matters.Michael represents a diverse client base, including emerging and growth-stage companies, institutional investors, foreign companies conducting business in Canada, real estate developers, agricultural businesses, charities and not-for-profits and labour organizations. He also works closely with founders who have successfully exited their businesses, advising them on structuring family offices, making strategic investments, and acquiring private assets such as vineyards.Before moving to Kelowna to help establish the firm’s Kelowna office, Michael practiced in our Vancouver office and continues to work with clients based across Western Canada and internationally.
