Michael Brand is a partner in the firm’s Miami and Key West offices. He practices across all fields of litigation, including medical malpractice, personal injury claims and professional liability claims, premises liability, negligent security, legal malpractice, automobile and trucking claims, bad faith/extra-contractual liability and others. He has tried approximately 300 jury trials to verdict in his career.Mr. Brand received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in English at the University of Pennsylvania, after which he obtained his Juris Doctor from Temple University. He joined Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. after working at the Dade County Public Defender’s Office, where he represented clients charged with serious felonies, and after several years of civil practice.Mr. Brand is a Martindale-Hubbell rated A.V. attorney. Mr. Brand is also an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and is routinely selected in various “Best of” publications for his litigation expertise. He serves as a pro bono attorney for children through the Attorney Ad Litem Program and Lawyers for Children of America.
