Melissa earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of the SMU varsity soccer team.Melissa holds active memberships in several legal associations such as the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association, Annette Stewart American Inn of Courts, the Texas Family Law Foundation and the Collin County Women Lawyers Association. She also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Alliance in Reconstructive Surgery (AiRs), an organization that supports survivors of breast cancer.
